OT-Praxis Career Lab

Your IT skills transfer to OT.Your experience might not.

OT-Praxis puts you inside realistic simulated manufacturing incidents where networking, automation, cybersecurity, maintenance, production, safety, and AI-assisted diagnostics collide.

Practice the decisions industrial environments demand—and build evidence of what you can actually do.

OT-Praxis provides assessed simulation experience. It does not replace employment, field experience, professional certification, or hands-on work in an operating facility.

The transition gap

The hardest part of breaking into OT is getting experience before someone gives you experience.

You may already understand networking, firewalls, Linux, cybersecurity, MQTT, containers, infrastructure, and segmentation. Industrial operations add PLCs, instrumentation, robotics, machine safety, production pressure, maintenance coordination, vendor support, quality, operational authorization, and physical-process consequences.

OT-Praxis is structured practice in that missing layer—not a promise that a simulation is the same as a plant job.

Show the difference

From familiar IT instincts to industrial judgment.

These are examples of additional reasoning industrial environments may require—not universal rules. Safety, authorization, process state, and local operating procedures remain decisive.

Provider-neutral preparation

Learn somewhere. Practice in Meridian. Prove it in OT-Praxis.

External learning can prepare you for an approved Meridian scenario. OT-Praxis records what you observe, decide, communicate, and verify. No provider listed here is represented as a partner without a formal relationship.

Sources and methodology

Occupational projections are not vacancy forecasts. Annual openings include growth and replacement. Robotics and OT cybersecurity cross multiple classifications, and no authoritative humanoid-specific employment projection currently exists.

Methodological proof

A simulation record, not a marketing claim.

  • Deterministic assessment events
  • Evidence-backed competency observations
  • Scenario and pathway provenance
  • Transparent simulation boundary
  • Provider-neutral preparation mappings
  • Human-authorized safety and recovery decisions

Questions before you enter

What Career Lab does—and does not—claim.

Is this a certification?

No. OT-Praxis produces an evidence-backed performance record. Vendor certifications and other external credentials remain separate and are never implied by a Meridian result.

Does this count as plant experience?

No. OT-Praxis provides assessed simulated industrial experience. It does not replace employment or hands-on work in an operating facility.

Do I need OT experience?

No. The initial track is designed for people coming from networking, cybersecurity, infrastructure, telecom, IoT, systems, and adjacent technical fields.

Do I need special hardware?

The core experience is browser-based. Optional external labs may have their own hardware or software requirements.

What happens if I cancel Career Lab?

Historical assessment events, completed scenarios, competency observations, external records, and Passport evidence remain in your learner record. Only paid-access functionality is disabled.

Are vendors listed here partners?

No. OT-Praxis may map learners to publicly available provider resources. A formal partnership is only described when one exists.
